4/13/08: Capitals-Flyers

On April 13th, in Game Two of their first round series, the Flyers evened things up with the Capitals by taking an impressive 2-0 victory. Robert Marks' photos from that game appear here:

4/01/08: Capitals-Hurricanes

On April 1st, in the 80th game of the season for both teams, the Washington Capitals pulled even with the Carolina Hurricanes in the race for the Southeast Division title. Robert Marks' photos from that game appear here:

3/03/08: Capitals-Bruins

On March 3rd, the Washington Capitals absolutely dismantled the Boston Bruins, with Alexander Ovechkin (hat trick) leading the way. Robert Marks' photos from that game appear here:

2/10/08: Capitals-Rangers

On February 10th, the Washington Capitals hosted the New York Rangers and came away with a thrilling 3-2 overtime victory on a goal by defenseman Mike Green. Robert Marks' photos from that game appear here:

11/21/07: Capitals-Thrashers

On November 21st, the Washington Capitals hosted the Atlanta Thrashers. Ilya Kovalchuk scored four points (two goals and two assists) to lead Atlanta to a 5-1 victory. Robert Marks' photos from that game appear here:

11/02/07: Capitals-Flyers

On November 2nd, the Washington Capitals hosted the Philadelphia Flyers. Mike Richards scored the tie-breaking goal to give Philadelphia a 3-2 victory. Robert Marks' photos from that game appear here:

10/26/07: Capitals-Canucks

On October 26th, the Washington Capitals hosted Roberto Luongo and the Vancouver Canucks. Vancouver forward Taylor Pyatt scored twice to lead Vancouver to a 3-2 victory. Robert Marks' photos from that game appear here:

02/25/07: Capitals-Devils

On February 25th, the Washington Capitals faced off against the New Jersey Devils. Jamie Langenbrunner's power-play goal broke a third-period tie, Clemmensen won in his first appearance since Dec. 14 and the Devils beat the Capitals 3-2. Robert Marks' photos from that game appear here:

12/16/06: Capitals-Flyers

On December 16th, the Washington Capitals first eliminated Peter Forsberg -- on a wicked hit from Alexander Ovechkin -- then eliminated the Flyers by a decisive 4-1 score. Robert Marks' photos from that game appear here...

11/30/06: Capitals-Stars

On November 30th, Olaf Kolzig erased a pesky zero from his career stat sheet. Kolzig made 35 saves and withstood a third-period rally to finally defeat the only NHL franchise he had never beaten when the Capitals edged the Stars 4-3. Robert Marks' photos from that game appear here:

10/21/06: Capitals-Lightning

The Tampa Bay Lightning demonstrated on October 21st that they still have plenty of offensive threats, even with the off-season trade of Fredrik Modin and the loss of center Ryan Craig to injury. Martin St. Louis and Nikita Alexeev scored 22 seconds apart during a three-goal second period that carried the Lightning past the Washington Capitals 6-4.
