The 2008 Calder Cup Playoffs have moved into the division finals and each team is looking to advance to the conference finals. Each series features teams that have the ability to win at anytime. Here's an update from around the American Hockey League.
Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins vs. Philadelphia Phantoms

Game 4 Summary: Offense was the name of the game in Game 4 with a combined 12 goals scored. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton used a five goal second period to propel them to victory. Twelve different players recorded a point for the Penguins, who now own a commanding 3-1 series lead heading back to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. Both goaltenders weren’t spectacular, and Philadelphia’s Scott Munroe was pulled midway through the second period after allowing five goals on 22 shots. Michael Teslak didn't fare much better for Philadelphia; he allowed three goals on ten shots. Ryan Stone led the Penguins in scoring with two goals and two assists, and Stefan Ruzicka had two assists for Philadelphia. The Penguins can close out the series Friday night on home ice.
Providence Bruins vs. Portland Pirates

Game 5 Summary: The Portland Pirates are one win away from advancing to the Eastern Conference finals as a surprise team from the Atlantic Division. After Providence scored the game’s first goal, Portland scored three straight and cruised to a 3-2 win; putting the Bruins on the brink of elimination for the first time. Bobby Ryan and Geoff Platt each recorded two points, and J.S. Aubin stopped 30 of 32 shots. The Bruins now need to win two straight games, otherwise their season is over.

Game 4 Summary: The Syracuse Crunch took a commanding 3-1 series lead with an overtime win over Toronto on Wednesday night. The game featured at total of 90 shots as Syracuse erased a two goal deficit in the third period. Toronto’s Jay Harrison and Syracuse’s Zenon Konopka had four point games. Neither goaltender was spectacular, but Karl Goehring came up with big saves when needed to guide the Crunch. Syracuse was 2-for-11 on the power play and Toronto was 2-for-6. Syracuse looks to eliminate the Marlies in Toronto on Friday night.

Game 3 Summary: The Rockford IceHogs avoided going down two games in the series by holding off a third period attack by Chicago. Rockford held a three goal lead at the start of the third, but two Chicago goals made it interesting; Corey Crawford was up to the task turning away 32 shots. Martin St. Pierre had a goal and two assists to lead the IceHogs while Derek Nesbitt and Troy Brouwer had two points each for Rockford.
