The Boston Bruins dropped the first game after the trade deadline to the Phoenix Coyotes 2-1. Recently traded Scottie Upshall netted the game winner for the Coyotes. Mark Recchi and Steve Montador played their first game with their new club, The Boston Bruins.

Inside Hockey's Pete Keeling was at the TD Banknorth Garden for the action.
