Two reports from Larry Mahoney of the Bangor Daily News and the other by Mike McMahon of The Lawrence Eagle Tribune state that Maine freshman goaltender, Scott Darling, has been suspended for tonight's game against Merrimack for a violation of team rules. Backup net-minder Dave Wilson, will start tonight for the Black Bears against the Warriors.
Darling's numbers this year are stellar. He is 5-1-0 with a .961 save percentage and a goals against average of 1.00. Dave Wilson in his career, is 3-8-0 with a 3.56 goals against average and a save percentage of .881.
It is expected that Darling will be back for tomorrow's game against Merrimack to finish the two game series at Alfond Arena in Orono.
