The Montreal Juniors win 1-0 over the Foreurs de Val-D’or . Both teams came out strong but it was the goal scoring ability of Angelo Esposito (goal scored at14:47 1st period assisted by Nick Layton and Dmitri Kostromitin) and the outstanding goaltending by Jake Allen that would be the deciding factors. the Juniors were pleased to welcome NHL players Saku Koivu, Mathieu Dandenault and Maxim Lapierre.

Montreal wins 1-0 over PEI, both teams were ready to go, exploding with energy in a very fast-paced game with a tremendous amount of shots on goal, with Bobby Nadeau of PEI facing 40 shots and Jean-Francois Berube of Montreal facing 33 shots. Only one unassisted goal early in the third period by Pat O’Keefe would get by Bobby Nadeau..No surprise then ,that the first star would go to Jean-Francois Berube and the second to Bobby Nadeau for their amazing goaltending , and the third star to Pat O’Keefe.
