Wednesday March 3 saw the Wilkes Barre Scranton Penguins continue thier march up the standings for a playoff spot by beating the Norfolk Admirals 4-2.  After trading goals in the first two periods the Penguins got the winning goal from Konstantin Pushkarev.  Dustin Jeffery added an empty net goal to seal the win.

Things are looking up in terms of overall depth at the defensive position. The position is easily the teams strongest in terms of overall quality prospects. It has been a long time coming for the Flyers to draft quality defensive prospects. What was once the worst positon in terms of depth is now the Flyers greatest strength.

The Hershey Bears get grizzly when they lose. And when they do lose, this team usually takes it out on whomwever comes onto the ice next. That was evident in Saturday's 9-2 win against the Bridgeport Sound Tigers at the Giant Center.

There use to be a time in recent years that the Philadelphia Flyers had some of the best crop of right wing prospects they have ever had in their system. You could have made an argument that they had the best overall group of right wing prospects in the entire NHL.
